Formation
FLI International Lining Systems was formed in 1984 , based in Waterford, Ireland, which remains the head office location today. The sole business at that time was the welded installation of geomembrane lining systems for containment applications. FLI gained a broad based knowledge of contracting within the geosynthetics industry and this business model was extended to the UK and France with selected projects around the world.
In 2000 FLI entered the French geosynthetics market and in 2003 acquired the installation activities of a geosynthetics material manufacturer. The merger of both companies created FLI France SAS.
